Following China Motor Bus which introduced Daimler Fleetline in 1972, Kowloon Motor Bus ("KMB") purchased 450 Fleetlines during 1974-79. They were allocated fleet numbers D666-1115. Among the 450 Fleetlines, 297 (D666-814, 816-887, 889-930, 932-962 and D965-967) were bodied by Metal Sections when new, while another 151 were bodied by BACo (D815, 963, 964 and 968-1115), and KMB provided its own designed bodies for the rest of two (D888 and 931). KMB withdrew their last Fleetline in 1995. Some of them were shipped to Mainland China to continue their services.
